My favorite brand, Lulu Castagnette, recently launched its fashionable watches in the Philippines.
Paschal Fanton, managing director of Lulu Castagnette unveiled the watches with the emblematic teddy bear logo that Lulu Castagnette has been known for across the world. The brand has a simple and clear message: “Lulu Forever” which means ‘Lulu Castagnette accompanies me everyday, i can’t do without it.’

Lulu Women and Lulu Girls watches are available in Urban Time located at all SM Department Stores. Visit the flagship store of Urban Time at the 3/F The Annex of SM North EDSA.

Life is Yummy with Soap Factory
During a recent blog event at the 4th Level Mega Atrium of SM Megamall, a cute and colorful store caught my eye. For a minute, i thought it was a candy store or a bakeshop because everything inside looked so good enough to eat!

Ok, blame it on the fact that i haven’t had breakfast yet and the mouth-watering cupcakes, donuts, fruits, chocolates and cakes were so enticing. Now who would’ve thought that these were actually handmade soaps?

As i was browsing inside the store, one of the store staff was kind enough to assist and explain to me the different types of products they offer. Having sensitive skin, i was a bit reluctant at first to try their products. However, after sampling on their soaps, i later realized that they carry the most caring soap on earth.
Made from all natural ingredients, TLC (Tender Loving Care) soaps are formulated using plant-derived ingredients such as olive oil, shea/cocoa butter, moringa seed oil plus secret herbs and blends. All soaps are freshly made by hand, just like your favorite bread and pastries. See, i told you i was hungry!

Soap factory also carries other products called SOS therapeutic (Save our Skin) soaps, World’s Best, and Special Soaps. Their Yummy products are truly a delight to the senses! Not wanting to leave the store without making my purchase, i got myself a moisturizing cologne and the World’s Best soap which they dutifully cut into three pieces.
Here’s a friendly and useful tip: to help economize, you can actually ask the Soap Factory staff to cut your soap(s) into half or divide it into 3 parts before wrapping your purchase. Ok, i admit it… i’ve become frugal and a recessionista! (Recessionista: n. A person who dresses stylishly on a tight budget.)
The Soap Factory store is at the 3rd Level of SM North Edsa, The Block and 4th Level Mega Atrium at the SM Megamall.

The Belo Medical Group is known for making filipinos beautiful but did you know that they help shape lives, too?
No, i’m not talking about the latest non-invasive Ultrasound technology for fat reduction and body contouring called BeloShape. Although this is a very good alternative to liposuction, what i’m actually referring to is the non-profit charity and other advocacies that the Belo Medical Group has recently launched.
Last Saturday, i had the opportunity to meet Dr. Vicki Belo and Dr. Hayden Kho, Jr. and listen to them talk about their beauty campaign, their non-surgical solutions, and about the Ike and Nena Belo Foundation. This private foundation, named after Dr. Vicki Belo’s parents, was set to help needy children with cleft palate requiring surgery, rehabilitation of burned victims, and scholarship grants for the less fortunate.

Just when you thought you’re there to sample the signature treatments and beauty breakthroughs at Belo Medical Group, they surprise you with a lot more. As Dr. Hayden Kho, Jr. announced that Belo is set to launch a “Life Coaching” program with the aim of helping clients determine and achieve personal goals, i couldn’t help but think what could be next. The longer i stay there and listen, the more i grow fascinated with these doctors and their purpose to reach out and help people.

During my short stay in the States, i had the privilege of experiencing firsthand what it’s like to be trained and assessed by a Life Coach. I was blessed to have that opportunity and to gain valuable lessons. Life coaching has roots in executive coaching and its techniques are developed and drawn from management consulting and leadership training. Life coaching also draws inspiration from other disciplines such as psychology, positive adult development, career counseling, mentoring, sociology, and other types of counseling. What struck me the most about life coaching is its use of multiple methods in order to help people reach their goals. Most importantly it is a practice that requires knowledge and a heart.
You cannot direct if you don’t know how to lead. Leading requires mentoring, and mentoring requires knowledge, patience, and lots of heart. As they say, “You cannot give what you don’t have.”
I’m not at all surprised to learn that on top of the charitable missions and all the activities at the Belo Medical Group, Dr. Vicki Belo also wants to be in the business of shaping people’s lives. After all, who can better do it than someone with a beautiful heart!

Mallos flip flops: Not your ordinary slippers!
“You can’t have too many shoes,” that’s what most girls say when they shop for an endless array of footwear. Not me. I’m a flip-flop girl. I’ve always considered flip-flops as a wardrobe essential. Way before Ipanema and Havaianas were introduced in the Philippines, these comfortable slippers has long found its place in my heels.
When i found out that Mallos has reinvented my favorite footwear by adding scents to the so-called ‘tsinelas’ (flip-flops), i couldn’t help but check them out. I went to their store located in Eastwood City, Libis and was surprised to smell these innovative rubber sandals.

True enough, the pleasant scent of berries tickled my nose and the designs and colors played with my eyes. I felt like a kid inside a candy store. Wait, i’m experiencing sugar rush!

A pair of Mallos in plain black, green, red, brown, white, mocha, and gray colors cost Php650, while flip-flops in an assortment of designs (vine, palm, daisy, stripes, and logo with name) can be purchased at Php750/each.
Mallos at the 3/F City Walk 2, Eastwood is open Monday-Thursday at 12:00n to 11:00pm, and Friday-Sunday at 12:00 noon to midnight. Why not flip-flop your way into their store today?

In a room full of little losers and bloggers, that’s where i spent Tuesday evening this week. The recent launch of David & Goliath held at Magnet High Street stayed true to the humorous genius that David & Goliath is known for. Gabe Mercado together with his funny sidekicks from SPIT (Silly People Improv Theater) hosted the evening and left most of the bloggers laughing-out-loud.

David and Goliath, an American clothing company by Todd Goldman features 57 adorable Little Losers. The collection of graphic misfits pay tribute to character stereotypes, a nod to the ambiguity of your personality.
The little rebels known as Miss Spoiled Brat, Mr. Sugardaddy, Miss Gossip Queen, Mr. Jerk, Miss Golddigger, Mr. Fancy Pants, Miss Snob, Mr. Tight Wad, Miss Know it All, Mr. Loser, and a host of other misfits are now available in a series of shirts. Incidentally, the company that introduced Havaianas is the same company (Terry S.A.) that brought David & Goliath in the Philippines.
The Little Losers collection is now available for Php995 each at David & Goliath stores located at Trinoma, Bonifacio High Street, Powerplant Mall, Greenbelt 5, Rustan’s Makati, and Robinsons Place Manila Midtown.
