The Climb

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there’s a voice inside my head saying
“You’ll never reach it”

Every step I’m taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose

Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb

The struggles I’m facing
The chances I’m taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I’m not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I’m gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

‘Cause there’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose

Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb, yeah!

There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose

Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb, yeah!

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It’s all about, it’s all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith.

Trinoma Digital 3D Cinema

No matter how well the film is crafted, optimal viewing pleasure is equally dependent on where you watch it.  Gone are the days when a big screen is enough.  Discriminating moviegoers are looking for other elements such as good interiors, superior image and sound quality, and a venue that complements their dynamic lifestyle.  Given these, it comes as no surprise that Trinoma emerged as their preferred cinema.

Conveniently located near an MRT station and catering to the diverse Quezon City market comprised of students from big universities, corporate executives and even celebrities, Trinoma Cinema’s patrons expanded from those living nearby to denizens from all over Metro Manila.

To offer a new level of cinema entertainment to movie enthusiasts, Trinoma recently unveiled its Digital 3D Cinema with a special screening of Ice Age 3.

The newly upgraded Trinoma Cinema 4 is set to deliver an enthralling experience with its top-of-the-line technology and amenities.  Moviegoers will get a multi-sensory bliss whenever they are in the theatre – at the front row or at the back.  Recreating the feel of a movie studio so people will get to see the film just like how the director meant it to be, down to the smallest details.

Tokyo Tokyo Watta Tempura TVC

A few weeks back, a family member was raving about the latest Tokyo Tokyo commercial. She was all grin and giggles as she animatedly re-told the story about the gigantic Japanese Basketball Tempura Star.  Admittedly, i got curious and confused all at the same time. Yeah, kids these days have the knack for giving us (the old timers) those feelings each time they open their mouths.

Good thing i got invited to a blogger event last weekend, where Tokyo Tokyo unveiled their Bigger and Crunchier Tempura (black tiger prawns). Finally, i got the chance to watch all three Watta Tempura TVCs and enjoyed a Tokyo Bento Prawn & Veggie Tempura for free! (Thanks to yehey.com and Tokyo Tokyo for the free meal).

In case you haven’t seen the TVCs yet, just click the play button below and watch the three Tempura Stars who i’ll aptly name as LePrawn James, Prawnis Hilton, and Jessica Shrimpson. Enjoy!

Father to LePrawn James: “Son, you are so big. You have a future. Ha?! Watta!”

Jessica Shrimpson to Tokyo Romo: “You are so big. We have a future. Watta!”

Mother to Prawnis Hilton: “Daughter, you are so beautiful and big. You have a future. Watta!”

Eksena Manila on Jessica Soho

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho is one of GMA-7’s top rating primetime News and Public Affairs programs.  It is hosted by none other than the country’s trusted broadcast journalist, Ms. Jessica Soho.

The group i’m currently connected with, Eksena Manila, met with the production staff of the said show, at two separate dates, to work on a segment which will be aired on July 19, 2008.  One of the elements of the segment is Eksena Manila, singing together inside the MRT.

Behind the Scenes

Armed with a trusty cam, together with the show’s segment producer, researcher, cameramen, and fellow agents of Eksena Manila, we spent Saturday afternoon shooting in different locations.  It was a field day for me, taking videos and snaps inside the train and MRT stations.  Normally, taking photos and videos inside the MRT premises are strictly prohibited.  So you could just imagine the smile plastered across my face while taking snapshots and videos of (almost) everything.  Awesomeness!

On rainy Wednesday, we met with the Jessica Soho team again and did some shoots at Manila City Hall.  The afternoon shoot that was supposed to take an hour or so, dragged on for several hours.  By the time we’re done, i was totally drained and was not feeling well.

Despite the rain and massive headache during the last day of shoot, the whole thing was a great learning experience for me.  It gave me the opportunity to have a look at a normal production process.  This made me realize that am not really cut out for showbusiness! Hehe. Now i’m really thankful i didn’t take that job offer a couple of months back, as Assistant to the CEO of a network. Teehee!

On a more personal note

I made the decision not to go on cam and simply work behind the scenes.  If i show my face on national tv, it will defeat my purpose and duty as EM’s resident videographer.  It is best that i remain under the radar.  Enough said, i will no longer take any questions from this point. Hehe.

About Eksena Manila

Our group aims to break the monotony of people’s routine by conducting activities that would make people smile and that they would not normally see everyday.  To find out more about our group, kindly visit our website.
