Darlene Zschech and the Hillsong Worship Team led thousands of filipinos in worship and celebration, Tuesday night, at the Araneta Coliseum. Darlene Zschech and team touched heaven and filled the coliseum with their beautiful music. Paving the way for filipinos to freely lift their arms and sing aloud, worshipping and praising God in one voice.

Darlene Zschech is one of my all time favorite worship leaders. She composed the songs: ‘Shout to the Lord’ and ‘I will run to you,’ and popularized the song, ‘Power of Your Love’ which continues to be played over the airwaves via local radio stations. She also penned several books like ‘Extravagant Worship’ and ‘The Kiss of Heaven’ wherein she boldly stated that “although music is a wonderful expression of worship, it is not in itself the essence of it.” To that statement made by Darlence Zschech, I strongly concur!

I hope there will be more events like ‘Touching Heaven Worship Night.’ I also pray that there will be more people like Darlene Zschech who has a kind heart, willing and able to give their time and talent in order to help filipinos in need. The concert event was presented by Append and all proceeds will go to Adopt a Family Program.

@ christine – maraming salamat sa pagbisita sa aking blog. hillsong has plenty of albums out in the market to date, i doubt i’ll have enough space here to list them. the most popular ones now being sung in churches and youth fellowships are mostly by hillsong united. darlene zschech composed the song “shout to the lord” and she helped popularize “power of your love” which are now streamed over local radio stations. these are just two examples of the songs that they are famous for, but these are all way, way back (90s) but i bet they will sing that during the concert. if not, please let me know. hehe.

i am praying to God na sana He will provide me and my family a blessing para makapanood ng concert ni Darlene., we are all a member of our praise and worship team in pour local church, agape mission center, cadiz city, Neg. Occ. Phils. and it’s been a long time na we’ve been longing to see this concert. Timing talaga na by the 19th i’ll be in mla. for my husband’s check up, bt d problem is we don’t have enough money to pay the ticket. Sana Lord e answer mo na ung prayers namin, (kasama ung 2 girls namin).

you are so right by saying that darlene zschech and the hillsong team are mere people like us… so i never considered myself getting ‘star struck’ each time i get to meet/see famous people up close… celebrities, vips, especially famous worship leaders/teams/bands. however, it is very important to note that people like darlene are definitely worth respecting and emulating because of her passion and love for Jesus. it’s best to be around people like her and catch the anointing and love of God than spend time with anyone in this world, famous or not!
