JRev Nazirite Training

Filed under: leadership & youth | Tags:

People are clamoring and crying for change, we see so much pain and hunger around, yet we as Christians tend to forget our real purpose and responsibilities as children of God.  To pray and care for one another, to be concerned and act responsibly and righteously.

Praying, caring, acting righteously and responsibly are things that we don’t develop overnight. We must be trained in order to achieve them and be the change that we want to see in our society.  On May 11-13 (phase 1) and May 13-16 (phase 2) Jesus Revolution will be hosting a Nazirite Training to be held at the Teachers Camp in Baguio City.

Now, why do you need to attend the Nazirite Training?

For Yourself: To give you a chance to reflect, to be brutally honest with yourself and to be willing to change that would lead to achieving personal breakthroughs.

For Pastors & Youth Leaders: To have a better understanding of the character and issues of this generation and make you more effective in your ministry.

For Parents: To be equipped in raising up a child in a consecrated lifestyle because only a Nazirite can raise up a Nazirite.

For a Young Emerging Leader: To be trained in facing the challenges that go with the calling of Nation changing.

For a New Believer: To save yourself from experiencing unnecessary burdens in your Christian walk.

For an Old Believer: To help you identify things that has kept you from fulfilling God’s destiny for you.

Tokyo Tokyo Watta Tempura TVC

A few weeks back, a family member was raving about the latest Tokyo Tokyo commercial. She was all grin and giggles as she animatedly re-told the story about the gigantic Japanese Basketball Tempura Star.  Admittedly, i got curious and confused all at the same time. Yeah, kids these days have the knack for giving us (the old timers) those feelings each time they open their mouths.

Good thing i got invited to a blogger event last weekend, where Tokyo Tokyo unveiled their Bigger and Crunchier Tempura (black tiger prawns). Finally, i got the chance to watch all three Watta Tempura TVCs and enjoyed a Tokyo Bento Prawn & Veggie Tempura for free! (Thanks to yehey.com and Tokyo Tokyo for the free meal).

In case you haven’t seen the TVCs yet, just click the play button below and watch the three Tempura Stars who i’ll aptly name as LePrawn James, Prawnis Hilton, and Jessica Shrimpson. Enjoy!

Father to LePrawn James: “Son, you are so big. You have a future. Ha?! Watta!”

Jessica Shrimpson to Tokyo Romo: “You are so big. We have a future. Watta!”

Mother to Prawnis Hilton: “Daughter, you are so beautiful and big. You have a future. Watta!”

Morning by morning new mercies I see.
A7                 D                D                Em7
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
G                           D               A     A7  D
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.

Verse 2:
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Verse 3:
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide.
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.

Today’s song is brought to you by William M. Runyan and Thomas O. Chilsholm. Runyan was born on January 21, 1870 and penned his first Gospel song in 1915. I was  going over the hymn “Lord, I have Shut the Door” (© 1923) which William Runyan wrote, when this particular song came to mind.

We used to sing these songs and hymns in the church. Oh, how i miss the good old days!
