Have you read the book “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” by Mitch Albom? Did you know that this novel was turned into a television movie a year after it was published? Today, i finally got the chance to see this film and it certainly inspired and moved me.

Let me share with you some lines from the movie that really stood out for me:

“Strangers are just family you are here to come to know.”

“We think by hating someone we hurt them, but hatred is a curved blade and the harm that we do to others, we also do to ourselves.”

“Nobody’s born with anger, we build it over the years with the things we don’t say. With the things we bury, when we die the soul is freed from it.”

“Lost love is still love. It takes a different form, that’s all.”

“You can’t hold their hands, you can’t tousle their hair, but when those senses weaken another comes to life. Memory becomes your partner, you hold it, you dance with it.”

“Life has to end, love doesn’t.”

“This is the story of a man named Eddie, who lived and died and that one day share the secret of Heaven, that each life affects the other, and the other affects the next.”

Falling Slowly

I don’t know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can’t react
And games that never amount
To more than they’re meant
Will play themselves out

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You’ve made it now

Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can’t go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I’m painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It’s time that you won

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You’ve made it now

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You’ve made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I’ll sing along

Paint me with Your purity
That I’d attract Your majesty
When others boast in fame and gold
The purest place is where I’ll go

Chorus:
The purest place I will draw near
Do what it takes to keep me here
In the center of Your heart
The purest place is where You are

It’s not with masses, not with kings
Not in these songs, or offerings
Not in this life, or what it brings
The purest place is You my King

Bridge:
If there’s such thing as too beautiful
If there’s such things as too wonderful
If there’s such thing as too marvelous
Jesus it’s You, Jesus it’s You

Brilliant Coke Commercial

Have you seen the latest Coca-Cola commercial?  Well, it’s the best GTA parody to date!

Nexus created this Grand Theft Auto (GTA) inspired commercial for Coke where the main character thwart a purse snatcher, gave money to the needy, and generally helped brighten someone else’s day. My Mom loves this commercial, she says, “It gives the message that you can do good things and still look cool doing them. This is how commercials should be.” I like her take on things and i couldn’t agree more.

By the way, the catchy song “You Give a Little Love” came from the film Bugsy Malone.

You give a little love
And it all comes back to you
(La la la la la la la)
You know you gonna be remembered
For the things you say and do
(La la la la la la la)

And they say nothing good ever comes from playing games. Ha ha!
