iBlog3: Korean Invasion

“The V sign is a hand gesture in which the first and second fingers are raised and parted, whilst the remaining fingers are clenched, palm facing outwards.” – taken from Wikipedia

Ok, ok. We all know how to do the Peace Sign and we also know that Korean drama series invaded our local channels these past couple of years. Cmon now, i’m sure you’ve seen My Girl, Princess Lulu, Princess Hours, and Jewel in the Palace at some point in your life. Anyways, what i don’t get is how come the characters in these Korean series always pose with that hand gesture each time they get their pictures taken? And why on earth do we copy them? Any ideas??

Confidently flashing the Peace sign:

Marc Macalua. Yes, that’s Mr. SEO Philippines himself. No look-alikes or adobe magic here. (Marc, how’s accident-prone Tabs doing? Any injuries lately?)

Jomar Hilario. Met this guy a couple of years back at Megamall, all because of Reuben Morgan’s concert here in Manila. He’s very kind and trusting. Imagine, he actually entrusted my help with all those tickets, not to mention the scores of cash laid out on the table during our first meeting. Hello??? How many people do that on your first meeting?? Anyway, it’s great to see him again and catch up.

Thysz Estrada. There are events that you normally attend which you barely notice the volunteers. No, not at the iBlog3 event. The volunteers there are kind and so fun to be with that you actually tell yourself, yeah i’ll come back tomorrow. Wait, you mean there’s no Day 3? Drats. (Thysz, thanks for everything! See you next year.)

There’s no denying, i’ve been bitten by the Blog bug today. It’s all because of iBlog3: The 3rd Philippine Blogging Summit, held at the School of Economics Auditorium in UP Diliman.

Thanks to mistervader. You’ve given me that long needed nudge to start blogging. You’re good at unlocking people’s creative potentials, as you are at bending forks.

Thanks to dean alfar. You inspired me. You made me laugh. I just wish you hadn’t told that story about the girl with the bad breakup and her single entry blog. I was so embarrassed. Yes, i still hate him.

Thanks to cafemom for teaching me the joys of blog hopping. I hope you find a permanent blog address soon.

And to my new friend, txtbuff. What can i say? You’re good at collecting text messages, as you are at collecting friends.

Ladies and gentlemen, what started as a mild itch has now grown into a bad case of rash.  So if you’ll excuse me, the Blog bug has left a rash that needs to be scratched.
